Best Time for a Boat Tour in Antalya: A Month-by-Month Guide

When is the best time for a boat tour in Antalya? The honest answer is that it depends on what you want: the warmest sea, the quietest bays or the greenest mountains. Our main season runs from May to October, and in April and November we run tours depending on weather and demand. Here is our month-by-month guide, based on 25 years of taking guests out on the bay.
Antalya sea temperature and weather by month
The figures below are typical averages, so expect some variation from year to year.
| Month | Sea temperature | Air max | Crowds | Our tip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| April | Approx. 17–18 °C | Approx. 21 °C | Quiet | Ask us; weather dependent |
| May | Approx. 20–21 °C | Approx. 25 °C | Moderate | Relax, Porto Ceneviz |

| September | Approx. 26–27 °C | Approx. 31 °C | Busy but easing | Any tour, many say the best month |
| October | Approx. 23–24 °C | Approx. 27 °C | Fewer crowds | Relax, Pirate, Suluada |
| November | Approx. 20–21 °C | Approx. 21 °C | Quiet | Limited tours; ask us |
April: fresh and peaceful
Spring in Antalya is beautiful, but the sea is still fresh at roughly 17–18 °C, with daytime highs around 21 °C. Tours run depending on weather and demand, so please ask us before you plan around one. Swimming is for the brave, but it is a lovely, quiet time to enjoy the coast from the deck.
May: the season opens
May is when our season properly begins. The mountains are still green, the air is pleasantly warm at around 25 °C and the sea reaches roughly 20–21 °C. It is a great month for the Relax boat tour and the Porto Ceneviz tour if you want scenery and calm bays more than a party.
June: simply ideal
If we had to pick one month for first-timers, June would be high on the list. The sea is typically 23–25 °C, the air around 30 °C and the summer crowds have not fully arrived. Every tour works well, and it is a perfect month for the long Suluada island tour, when the turquoise lagoons really shine.
July: hot, lively and busy
July is the hottest and busiest month, with air temperatures around 34 °C and a sea of about 26–28 °C. This is peak family season, and the Pirate boat tour with its foam party is at its liveliest. Book ahead, especially for Suluada and weekend dates. Bring plenty of sun protection; our boat tour packing list covers everything.
August: the warmest sea of the year
August brings the warmest water, typically 28–29 °C, which makes those long swim stops near the Düden waterfall and in Turtle Bay a real pleasure. It is also very busy, so reserve a few days in advance. Families travelling in the school holidays should read our guide to boat tours with kids.
September: many say the best month
Plenty of our regular guests swear by September. The sea is still around 26–27 °C after a long summer, the air cools a little to about 31 °C, and the crowds begin to thin. Every tour is a good choice, and it is a lovely month for a sunset boat tour too.
Antalya boat tours in October: warm sea, fewer people
October is our hidden gem. The sea is typically 23–24 °C, the air around 27 °C and the boats are calmer. There can be occasional rain late in the month, so keep a flexible day in your plans. The Relax tour is especially pleasant now, and the softer light makes for beautiful photos of the cliffs, caves and the Düden waterfall.
November: weather permitting
In November the sea is still around 20–21 °C, but air temperatures drop to about 21 °C and tours are limited. Whether a boat goes out depends on weather and demand, so message us before you count on it.
