What diving here really looks like

If you have never dived before, it can be hard to picture what you will see. That is why we put together this page of scuba diving photos and videos from our own trips around Antalya and Kemer. They show the whole day: the briefing on deck, the first nervous minutes in shallow water and the moment people relax and start to enjoy it.

Under the surface

The Mediterranean off Antalya is not a tropical reef, but it has its own charm. In the pictures you will see rocky slopes covered in sea grass and sponges, small caves and cracks where fish hide, and shoals of bream and wrasse moving over the rocks. With a little luck, divers spot an octopus or a moray eel. The water is usually clear, which helps the photos.

Your own photos and videos

On many dives, an underwater photographer comes along and records your dive. The photos and short edited videos are optional and can be bought after the tour. They make a great souvenir, especially for a first dive, and you do not have to worry about carrying a camera yourself.

Tips for better underwater photos

Relax and breathe slowly; calm divers make the best photos. Keep your mask clear by equalising early, and look towards the photographer when they signal.

Join a dive
