Suluada, as our guests see it

People often call Suluada the "Turkish Maldives", and the photos on this page show why. Everything here was filmed or photographed on our own Suluada boat tour from Adrasan, on normal days in the season. We prefer to show you real pictures, with real guests and the occasional cloud, so you know exactly what you are booking.

White sand and shallow, clear water

Suluada is an uninhabited island off Adrasan, at the southern tip of the Antalya coast. Its best-known side is a narrow strip of white sand where the water stays shallow for a long way out. That is what gives it the pale turquoise colour you see in the videos. The island also has a small freshwater spring, which is where the name "Suluada" (island with water) comes from.

When the photos look best

The water at Suluada is clearest from late May to October, when the sea is calm and warm. In June and September the light is softer and there are fewer boats, which is why many of our favourite shots were taken then. In July and August the island is busier, but the colour of the water is just as striking. Whatever the month, the best views are from the boat as it comes around the headland towards the beach.

Before you book

The Suluada boat tour is a long day because of the drive to Adrasan, so pickups are early. You can find the exact time for your hotel on our pickup points and times page. Drinks are not included in the price and can be bought on the boat. Bring a towel, sun cream, a hat and some cash for drinks.
