Pirate Boat Tour from Lara
Lara's beaches, then a pirate ship
With its sandy shoreline and themed hotels, Lara is Antalya's favourite district for families. Add one day at sea and the holiday feels complete. The pirate boat tour gives children a costumed crew and games, and it ends with a foam party that usually finishes in the water.
From Lara to the western harbour
Although Lara is close to the airport, the ship sails from the fishermen's harbour in Konyaaltı, on the far side of the city. The bus therefore crosses Antalya during the morning rush.
| Place | As the crow flies |
|---|---|
| Konyaaltı Fishermen's Shelter (boat departure) | about 15 km |
| Antalya Airport | about 5 km |
| Kaleiçi old town | about 8 km |
The road is longer than the line on the map. Plan the Lara route on Google Maps.
A day of swims and shows
Turtle Bay comes first. Then the boat returns east towards your own coastline, anchoring by the Düden Waterfall, which drops off the Lara cliffs straight into the sea, for lunch and swimming.
Because the falls are right below Lara, guests often recognise their own hotel from the deck. It is a nice moment for photos, so keep a phone in a waterproof pouch if you have one.
